Hers is a satisfyingly full sound. The top and middle are matched. [...] Everyone always sits up expectantly when the approach of the Queen of the Night is announced and thus it was when Hooper strode out to sing “Der Hölle Rache”. It was splendid to hear an ample voice ascending to the stratosphere and getting it all right. It was fierce.

QUADRANT MAGAZINE

"She has a strong, sweet soprano voice, a great range and [...] was able to portray her characters while achieving an impressive range with apparent ease and envious control: wonderful to listen to.

HENLEY STANDARD

"The real treats came from the newcomers, with some impressive young singers, led by a sweet, fresh-voiced Vixen from Catherine Hooper."
