Kiwi-British soprano Catherine Hooper is praised for her combination of vocal richness, agility, and brilliant upper extension, with repertoire spanning bel canto, French opera, and Mozartian roles.

 

Highlights of the 2026–27 season include her German debut as Queen of the Night, Micaëla in Carmen with Devon Opera, various roles in the Wexford Festival Opera, Ireland, and the upcoming final rounds of the 2026 Kiri Te Kanawa SongQuest in Wellington, New Zealand.

A prizewinner in the 2025 Joan Sutherland & Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award in Sydney, Catherine performs in opera and concert repertoire across the UK and internationally, including regular recital tours in China.
